Blackout – Known alternately as Coverall, this kind of bingo game is usually played in rounds and players are attempting to cover all of the spaces on the playing card as they go along. It could take only 43 balls to cover the whole sheet and win a game of Blackout, but it often requires many more.
Blower – Using a fan or other forced air device, the bingo machine uses this to launch the balls up into the traditional area of play where they can be selected and have their number read aloud.

Four Corners – This is a particular style of bingo that requires a pattern be formed by covering each of the corners on a card.
Game Board – This is the area where a bingo game’s numbers are displayed to the players as they are called. normally these are electronic in nature and use different types of lights so that the players can easily spot the numbers they should be marking off. They will also show the pattern needed to win the current game in some instances.
Shutter Board – These are special bingo cards that have the spaces covered by small windows which can be pulled shut to indicate that the space is marked. They were designed to reduce waste by allowing cards to be used more than once.
